THANK YOU Champions for CASA
Your events were all great successes. Your efforts are much appreciated.
Thank you to the many friends and supporters of Champaign County CASA! We are indebted to you for our ability to continue serving the abused and neglected children in the community.
We are grateful for the volunteers who advocate for these children and give them a powerful voice. We are thankful for the volunteers who work in the office, and for those who serve on the Board to support the work of the organization.
There are many donors in the community, who have sustained us over the years, and we are deeply grateful for your support and for the relationships we have developed with you. On this site we want to recognize and honor a few of our partners in the community who have been major contributors to Champaign County CASA.
Champaign Rotary Club
Champaign Rotary Club awarded Champaign County CASA with a generous Joseph H. Cannon Memorial Grant which allowed us to purchase a copier system that is networked with our computers, along with three new filing cabinets. Thank you, Champaign Rotary Club!
Community Foundation of East Central Illinois
The Community Foundation of East Central Illinois provides continuous support to and also manages an endowment fund for Champaign County CASA. Thank you so much, Community Foundation!
United Way
United Way has been a crucial partner of Champaign County CASA for many years. Through the coordinated efforts of this wonderful organization, donations from people all over the community are able to find their way to CASA through the grant program of United Way. Thank you, United Way!
Kappa Alpha Theta
CASA is the philanthropy served by the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Champaign County CASA enjoys a close relationship with the sorority, and nurtures that tie by having one current member of the sorority on the University of Illinois campus serve on our Board of Directors at all times. The Thetas have brought a great deal of talent and energy to their service on the Board, and have also initiated several fundraisers for CASA on their own. CASA is very grateful for this relationship with the women of Kappa Alpha Theta!
Faith United Methodist Women of Champaign
Latino Law Students of University of Illinois Law School
Lutheran Youth Organization of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Flatville
Unitarian Universalist Church of Urbana
University High School
Many businesses in Champaign County have been extremely supportive of CASA over the years. Support from corporations makes it possible for Champaign County CASA to continue recruiting, training, and managing more volunteers to advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children. Here we want to name and thank a few who have been outstanding in their support of our program.
Patterson Office Supplies
For the past few years, Patterson has provided high-quality printing of all of CASA’s invitations, cards, envelopes, event programs, and mailings of all types. They have done beautiful work on short notice, and always with a spirit of generosity and caring. Patterson has been a wonderful corporate partner, and we cherish our relationship with them. Thank you, Patterson Office Supplies!
Cameron’s Catering
Cameron’s has provided in-kind donations of fabulous banquets for CASA events on several occasions. The donations have run the gamut from gourmet box lunches, to spectacular banquets for 150 people -- In every case, exquisite and delicious. Cameron’s has been extremely generous to CASA over the years, and we treasure our relationship with them. Thank you, Cameron’s.
Matzner Chiropractic Center
In February 2008, the Matzner Chiropractic Center sponsored a Children’s Wellness Expo, and very generously donated all proceeds to Champaign County CASA. It was a fun extravaganza held at the Hilton Garden Inn with all kinds of up-to-date and interesting health and wellness information for children. There were costumed characters roaming around, and games and prizes too. All of this was done for the benefit of CASA. Many thanks to Dr. Doug Matzner and his staff! In the fall, the clinic is planning another fun run/walk, like the one held in September of 2007 for our benefit as well. CASA is very grateful for the friendship and support of Dr. Doug Matzner and the Matzner Chiropractic Center!!
HMD Academy of Tae Kwon Do
For two consecutive years, Master Nansoo Hyong of HMD Academy of Tae Kwon Do in Savoy, Illinois, coordinated a "Kick-A-Thon" fundraiser benefiting CASA. Master Hyong, who became acquainted with CASA through interaction with Judge John R. DeLaMar, attorney for the guardian ad litem program, and his family, continues to be an avid supporter of CASA. Advanced students participate in the "Kick-A-Thom," by obtaining sponsors and attempting to complete 500 of their most difficult kicks for the audience. It is an exciting and entertaining event, and CASA is so very grateful to Master Hyong for his dedication and generosity.
James H. Webster & Associates
James Webster has underwritten the cost of office space for Champaign County CASA for the past three years. We started out in a small basement office in Lincoln Square, and in 2005 were moved to a main floor office with about twice as much space. The new office space was configured to fit our needs. Mr. Webster supports the mission of CASA and has generously provided this office space at a low cost to our organization. Since we are doing Guardian ad Litem work for the County, it is very helpful for us to work in this location so close to the court house. We greatly appreciate the ongoing support of James Webster & Associates.
